Here you will see a straight punch in boxing. With the left foot forward, you are actually in a right handed boxers stance. Take notice that when punching, I am using my whole body. Notice the placement of the feet, the shoulders, the hips, and even the knees. Also, in this example, I am leaving my second punch out there. Normally, this wouldn't happen. Generally, you would want to pull your punch back as fast as you can. I am doing this slowly and holding it there so that you can see the proper form of how your body should look. You use your feet by stepping or pivoting, and you use your shoulders as well. Your shoulders and hips move with the core of your body. One arm out there by itself can be quite weak, but, when using the core muscles, you are landing quite a nice punch.
